Strategic Plan
In 2003, Westminster Academy had its first strategic retreat which included board members, parents and faculty. The result was a clarification of our mission, vision, and purpose, and a refining of our definition of classical and Christian education. In addition, the board and administration were tasked with specific goals and objectives.
In the spring of 2006 it became clear that the majority of the goals had been met and it was time for another planning session. In May of 2006, all parents were invited to participate in “listening sessions” conducted by our facilitator. This information was brought to a retreat which once again included parents, faculty, staff, board and administration. The result of these meetings confirmed Westminster Academy’s commitment to a classical and Christian pedagogy and to a concerted effort to bring even greater clarity to this simple yet powerful method of education. In essence, to come to a deeper understanding of how we can cultivate in students a love of truth, beauty, goodness and virtue, the ability to think, and the power to communicate.
The attached Strategic Plan January 2007 sets the course to strengthen our foundations and to build upon it.
