AFTERCARE & ENRICHMENT

WESTMINSTER ENRICHMENTS & AFTERCARE

When is Aftercare?

Aftercare runs from 3:15 p.m.- 6:00 p.m in the CLC on school days. Aftercare is not available on school holidays (including when the whole school releases for half-days).

How do I pay for Aftercare?

There are two options to pay for Aftercare:

  1. Full-time: A semester of full-time aftercare is $1,100. This reflects a 20% discount. This may be paid in full at the beginning of the semester or payments may be spread out monthly.

  2. Pay as you go: $6.00/hour. Your FACTS account will be billed on the 25th of the month, due the 5th of the following.

Students who are picked up after closing will be assessed a late fee of $2.00 per minute, per student.

How do I enroll my student?

All JK-8th grade Westminster Academy students are already enrolled in our program! All you need to do is let us know that you’re planning to come.
When you let us know that your child is attending, we are better prepared to serve you and your family.

Learning happens beyond the classroom! Join us in a variety of enrichments this year that will expand your athletic, artistic, musical, and reasoning abilities.

AfterSchool at Westminster is a fun place of learning and play. Aftercare provides students an opportunity to eat a provided snack, play outdoors, complete homework, and engage friends in a relaxed and caring environment.

Enrichments offer students the chance to dive deep into the fine arts, athletics, and more!

Students who enroll in an enrichment that begins after 3:10 p.m. will receive complimentary aftercare until the beginning of the enrichment. Students who remain after any enrichment or sport will enter aftercare and be billed at the hourly rate of $6.00.

Executive Functions Skills Training Course

Executive function skills are the cognitive processes children should develop to self-regulate and become independent learners. Many students benefit from coaching and training to build self-confidence and self-worth as they learn to multi-task, focus, organize, problem solve, increase processing speed, and manage time. MAZ Resources will provide a weekly coaching session to small groups.

Students will develop these skills in a Spatial Reasoning Skills project. Students will apply the lost art of map skills to design and create maps of cities and world that will connect and interact with the group. Focus-shifting, note-taking, time management, and turning abstract goals into concrete tasks will produce physical maps, much like the virtual maps in the popular game, Minecraft.

Day: Tuesdays, 3:15-4:15 (3rd-5th), 4:15-5:15 (6th-8th)
